Nau mai, haere mai - welcome

Thank you for visiting the Unity of New Zealand website. If you are new to Unity or don’t know Unity NZ yet, we look forward to hearing from you and meeting you online or in person.

Unity members come from a range of backgrounds - from other faith traditions or none. We share an interest in the revelation of God or Spirit or Truth or Wholeness or Oneness (or …) in the physical world and beyond it - hence the term ‘metaphysics.’

Unity’s rich history in the wider New Thought movement is a remarkable and enduring legacy founded on affirming prayer and teaching (see more). Eric Butterworth was a celebrated Unity minister and teacher. In his book Practical Metaphysics he wrote:

The presence of God is not something to get into, or something that you can fall out of. The presence is present here and now. Any attempt to find or to reach the presence is to practise the absence of God. You want to practise the presence, not the absence.

Again, welcome to a movement that is committed to realising the presence that is the unity of all.
